Villingen-Schwenningen, April 2016: With the new Culta LED bedside reading lights from Derungs, a product brand of the Waldmann Group, the company is expanding its selection of bedside reading lights. The Culta LED is characterized by its user-friendly operation and its sturdy design. The large light field provides a good ambiance for reading in the patients' and residents' rooms. The approval for medical premises according to DIN 60598-2-25 and care facilities is an added advantage with regards to safety.

Waldmann presented the new Culta LED bedside reading lights for use in hospitals and care facilities for the first time at the Geriatric Care trade fair in 2016 . "With the development of the luminaires, attention was paid to a sturdy and user-friendly design." explained Derungs Managing Director, Andreas Schenkenbach. "A classic cord switch makes the Culta LEDs easy to operate, whilst the flexible goose neck ensures that they are positioned easily and safely. Therefore the Culta LEDs ensure optimum comfort for the operator, even for residents and patients with reduced mobility. Furthermore, the luminaire head can be rotated 240°."

At 600 mm the warm white light field of the luminaires is very large and is perfectly designed for excellent reading comfort with an illumination intensity of approx. 1,100 lux. Modern LEDs ensure that lighting is as friendly as daylight. The cozy nature is emphasized by the transparent, matt lamp shade and the elegant and sleek design. "Although the Culta LED is a luminaire for those who are cost-conscious, the high quality standard is however not compromised", explains Andreas Schenkenbach. High quality materials, efficient LED lamps and excellent workmanship reduce maintenance costs and increase efficiency.

Two basic versions enable multi-functional use in the residents' and patients' rooms. The Culta LED S 4 P S3 is universally used on rails, tables and walls. The version Culta LED S 4 S9 enables it to be fitted directly to the bed with the option to connect to the bed's motor control.

The bedside reading lamps are suitable for medical premises according to DIN 60598-2-25 and care facilities.
