Waldmann receives the German Design Award

The task luminaire PARA.MI wins the second Design prize in a row

Villingen-Schwenningen, February 2016: The German Design Award is the international premium award of the German Design Council. Its goal is to discover, present and honour unique design trends. During the nomination procedure, expert committees invite to the competition only products and communication services that are verifiably distinguished by their design quality.

The jury, made up of design experts from a wide range of fields, was unanimous in its decision that the task luminaire PARA.MI by Waldmann is a pioneer in the international design landscape thanks to its individuality and simple design. A total of 3,400 products was checked thoroughly by the critical jury during several months. But only a few of them have received the sought-after award at the ceremony in Frankfurt. Christoph Waldmann, product manager at H. Waldmann GmbH & Co. KG, was particularly delighted about this award. "As we were developing PARA.MI, our goal was to create a task luminaire which would combine design and functionality with freely selectable shapes and colours. The German Design Award confirms that we have reached our goal," says Christoph Waldmann. More good news from the office of Waldmann: The German Design Council is impressed not only by PARA.MI; the Waldmann label has also been nominated for the German Brand Award 2016. The presentation of the award will take place in June of this year.
