The Lapp Group with its headquarters in Stuttgart is the world's market leader for integrated solutions and brand name products in the cable and connection technology sector. The group's portfolio includes cables and highly flexible lines, industrial plug-in connectors and screw connection technology, customized manufacturing solutions, automation technology and robot solutions for Industry 4.0 and the Smart Factory. The Lapp Group's core market is machine and plant engineering. Other important sales markets include the foodstuff, energy and railway industries.

The group of companies was established in 1959 and has been completely family-owned until today. In the financial year 2015/16, it generated a consolidated turnover of
€ 901 million. Lapp employs 3,440 people worldwide, has 17 production sites, approximately 40 sales companies and cooperates with about 100 distribution agencies abroad.

By constructing a new administration building in Stuttgart-Vaihingen, U.I. Lapp GmbH has strengthened its ambitions as future-oriented and modern company.

Lapp is committed to providing an environment in which employees feel good at their workplaces - since this is the only way for employees to provide optimum performance for their customers. To guarantee this, the most advanced lighting solutions are required. This is where Waldmann was able to impress: its LAVIGO free-standing luminaires with long light head light a twin workplace. They are extremely low-glare compared with other task luminaires despite the fact that they have a very high illuminance. The IDOO.line suspended luminaires are used at single workplaces, where they excel with high anti-glare features. At work areas featuring round desks, VIVAA luminaires provide the right light.
