The Alnatura Campus is undoubtedly an unusual reference in many respects. When it came to the construction of its new 13,500 square metre building in the southwest of Darmstadt the organic business enterprise set very high standards in respect of working culture, ecology and sustainability, all of which were fulfilled. Key elements of this building project therefore focused on the sustainable use of existing resources and a simple aesthetic approach close to nature. The outcome was Europe’s largest office building with a clay façade and space for 500 employees that can be extended at any time. As the building has an asymmetrical crest, Alnatura demanded the highest standards of the light concept. Close cooperation between Alnatura and Waldmann resulted in the choice of customised LAVIGO free-standing luminaires.

So far, they are the most powerful members of the LAVIGO free-standing luminaire family, which besides an exclusive design, impress with a particularly high level of intensity, light quality and even dispersion of light. The luminaire’s direct and indirect light can be dimmed separately for individual light adjustment. Another bonus is the easily accessible, multifunctional control element. It is also worth noting that the LAVIGO is the world’s first office luminaire to be awarded the Cradle to Cradle® certificate. “Cradle to Cradle” refers to products made of materials that are returned to the biological or technical cycle and subsequently re-used to make new products. Alnatura and Waldmann: a symbiosis of architecture and efficiency.
